Salesforce is bringing purpose-built legal artificial intelligence into its global operations, selecting Legora to support its Legal and Corporate Affairs organization across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Announced during Dreamforce 2026 in San Francisco, the global rollout will add Legora’s agentic legal platform to a technology portfolio that already includes Salesforce’s Agentforce and Slack.
Legora will support the company’s lawyers with research, drafting and other legal workflows while keeping legal professionals in control of decisions requiring expertise and judgment.
The platform is also expected to help Salesforce monitor an evolving regulatory landscape, apply consistent negotiating positions across regions and complete more research and drafting work within its internal legal team.
For Legora CEO Max Junestrand, the announcement also represents a personal milestone.
In a LinkedIn post, Junestrand recalled visiting San Francisco with his programmer father when he was 15. The teenager from a small island outside Stockholm walked into Salesforce East and watched Salesforce Tower beginning to rise nearby.
Years later, Junestrand returned to San Francisco for dinner with Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and to welcome the company as a Legora customer.
The relationship runs in both directions. According to Junestrand, Legora has operated on Slack since its earliest days and became a Salesforce customer after its growing sales team outgrew the company’s original customer relationship management platform.
“Dad, this one feels special,” Junestrand wrote.
The deployment is a significant endorsement for Legora, particularly because it comes from one of the technology industry’s most vocal proponents of enterprise AI agents. It also suggests that global legal departments may combine company-wide AI infrastructure with specialized platforms designed around the demands of legal work.
Legora describes its aOS platform as a connected system capable of planning, executing, reviewing and delivering complex legal work from beginning to end. Its tools cover areas including legal research, document review, drafting, regulatory monitoring and multi-step workflows.
The relationship between the companies extends beyond the new deployment. Salesforce Ventures participated in Legora’s US$550-million Series D earlier this year, a round that valued the Stockholm-founded legal AI company at approximately US$5.6 billion.
The announcement arrives during a period of rapid expansion for Legora. The company says its technology is now used by more than 100,000 legal professionals across more than 1,800 law firms and in-house teams in over 50 markets.
Legora has also been building a substantial Canadian presence. As LegalTech.ca previously reported, the company acquired Vancouver-based agentic legal AI startup Walter in March before opening its first Canadian office in Toronto.
Walter’s technology was developed alongside Canadian firms including Fasken and McCarthy Tétrault, with its team joining Legora to pursue AI agents capable of completing legal workflows from end to end. Legora has since expanded its relationships with Canadian firms, including a firm-wide AI partnership with Fasken.
Earlier this week, Legora also unveiled a rebuilt legal research platform featuring comprehensive legal data, a structured ontology of law and an AI-native citator designed to help lawyers determine whether authorities remain current and applicable.
Junestrand and Salesforce President and Chief Legal Officer Sabastian Niles are scheduled to discuss the partnership and the future of agentic legal work during a fireside chat at Dreamforce on September 16.
