McMillan LLP Adopts Legora Firmwide, Expanding AI Use Across Canada

News Brief, December 18, 2025

McMillan has rolled out Legora firmwide, marking a Canadian first for national law firms adopting collaborative legal AI at scale.

McMillan LLP has announced the firmwide adoption of Legora, becoming the first national law firm in Canada to deploy the collaborative AI platform across its entire organization.

The move extends McMillan’s ongoing investment in technology-driven legal services and will provide all lawyers and staff with secure access to Legora’s enterprise AI platform, designed specifically for legal research, drafting, and collaboration.

McMillan is the 15th largest law firm in Canada, with approximately 320 lawyers across offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montréal.

“We are proud to partner with Legora as the first national law firm in Canada to implement their platform firmwide,” said Bruce Chapple, CEO and Managing Partner of McMillan. “This flagship partnership underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence, positioning us as early adopters of generative AI in Canada. Our clients can be confident we are taking bold steps to further enhance client value and service.”

For Legora, the partnership marks a significant milestone in its Canadian expansion. The Stockholm-founded company has been rapidly growing its global footprint among large law firms and enterprise legal teams.

“It’s a privilege to collaborate with McMillan on this journey,” said Max Junestrand, CEO and co-founder of Legora. “This partnership reflects McMillan’s proactive approach to technology adoption and our shared vision to redefine legal services through innovation.”

McMillan selected Legora following a comprehensive evaluation of leading legal AI platforms. The firm assessed solutions on data security, privacy, reliability, and functional depth, and gathered feedback from lawyers across multiple practice groups. Legora emerged as the platform best aligned with the firm’s standards for innovation and client-focused outcomes.

The firm said clients will benefit from more agile legal workflows, improved responsiveness, and consistently high-quality work product as AI becomes embedded across McMillan’s operations.
