Jody Glidden’s Postilize Redefines Legal Relationship Management

Robert Lewis, October 9, 2025

Few Canadian entrepreneurs understand the intersection of technology, client relationships, and global scale quite like Jody Glidden. Best known as the co-founder of Introhive—whose platform served 50 of the world’s top law firms—Glidden is now channeling that experience into his latest venture, Postilize, a company redefining how law firms engage clients.

Born in New Brunswick and deeply committed to proving that world-class innovation can be built in Canada, Glidden has long focused on elevating the country’s tech potential.

With Postilize, he’s introducing a new category he calls Proactive Relationship Management (PRM)—a forward-looking alternative to traditional CRMs and ERMs that helps firms anticipate client needs instead of reacting to them.

Backed by U.S. legaltech powerhouse Litera, Postilize is bridging Canadian ingenuity with global reach, giving law firms the ability to turn data into meaningful, predictive insights.

In this interview with LegalTech.ca, Glidden discusses what inspired him to found Postilize, the rise of PRM, and how Canada’s legal community can embrace AI safely while competing on the world stage.

Tell me about your background. What led you to found Postilize?

JG: My career as a serial entrepreneur has been laser-focused on building and exiting successful ventures. Running companies like Introhive, which served 50 of the top global law firms, provided critical insight into the unmet needs of legal tech professionals, that’s what directly led me to Postilize.

The mission is deeply personal. As a New Brunswick native, I’ve always had an innate drive to prove that we can build and lead globally from Canada. My experience attracting major names like BlackBerry and Deloitte to the region shows that when we bring technology-forward jobs here, people take us seriously and the benefits are game-changing. This history is the very foundation of all my entrepreneurial pursuits, to achieve globally-minded innovation while remaining deeply rooted in Canadian soil.

What problem were you trying to solve in the legal sector?

JG: The fundamental flaw we noticed was that  the legal sector is inherently reactive. Traditionally, law firms have always had to wait for an event, such as a client being sued or a competitor winning a bid, and then they react. But this leaves opportunities on the table.

The core problem we’re aiming to solve at Postilize is the reactive nature of client management. We realized that the existing tools, from CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to ERM (Enterprise Relationship Management), simply weren’t built for intentional, forward-looking and proactive  engagement. They tracked past activity but didn’t predict the future.

That’s why we had to establish Proactive Relationship Management (PRM) as a new category. Just as CRMs defined how sales was managed for one generation of professionals, PRM is the next inflection point. We’re providing a platform that empowers law firms to anticipate and stay ahead of client needs and potential issues, flipping the business development model on its head.

Litera’s backing is a major step. What are the key differences between the Canadian and U.S. legal tech markets? How does this partnership benefit Canada?

JG: The Canadian legal tech market has real potential, but frankly, we’re prone to ‘localism’. We often risk squandering our lead by not thinking global from the start . On the other hand, the U.S. market is all about scale. Tech companies are securing huge investments and running with a clear ‘race-ahead’ mentality and that’s the drive I’m chasing.

That’s why the Litera partnership is so significant. As a major U.S. player with a massive client base, it instantly gives Postilize the resources and reach we need. It helps us maintain our Canadian roots while allowing us to compete effectively on a global scale.

What current trends are you seeing play out in the industry? How is Postilize contributing?

JG: The media conversation around AI is structurally flawed because it’s stuck on the infrastructure. We’re constantly hearing about new foundational models, massive funding rounds, and high valuations, but that’s only half the story. We need to talk about the next layer up, which is the profitable, real-world use cases.

Postilize’s contribution is clear. We aren’t trying to be a model ourselves, we’re a high-impact use case of the tools. We address the core frustration that people aren’t focusing on how AI can solve a tangible business problem, today. Our platform does this by automating the mundane tasks and instantly surfacing actionable insights. It lets legal professionals focus on relationships, not just data.

From your perspective, how has the Canadian legal community responded to AI? How do you balance the technology’s power with key issues like data privacy?

JG: We’re seeing a cautious approach, with many urging for regulation before rapid adoption. While Canada is a global leader in AI research, our tendency toward heavy regulation creates a real tension. The key is to manage this risk carefully and safely, as we simply can’t afford to fall behind while others race ahead.

At Postilize, we respect that cautious environment by balancing AI’s power with strict data privacy. Our approach is secure because we focus on practical applications, not the model itself. The platform uses AI to automate mundane tasks rather than generate sensitive, confidential information. This ensures professionals can focus on building relationships and gaining insights while knowing their client data and network information are fully protected.

What is Postilize’s long-term vision for the Canadian legal market?

JG: Our long-term vision is that Proactive Relationship Management (PRM) becomes a universal and essential category in Canadian legal business. We anticipate an inflection point where firms that aren’t using PRM will be at a severe disadvantage, fundamentally changing the entire sales methodology. This technology is crucial for both sides of the market with big law benefiting from proactive retention and winning repeat work, while small law firms focus on new customer acquisition and brand establishment.

Postilize is truly an investment in the next generation of Canadian legal practice. Our goal is to leverage a locally developed, globally backed tool to ensure Canadian professionals can effectively compete with and win, not just by acquiring new customers, but more importantly, by excelling at retaining clients through superior proactive service and efficiency.
