Spellbook has made its Autonomous Contract Management (ACM) platform generally available, expanding its offering to manage agreements from initial intake through renewal.
The system captures incoming contracts through Gmail, Outlook, Slack and intake forms, reviews them against a legal team’s playbook, and routes them to the appropriate owner. According to Spellbook, routine agreements are marked ready for approval, while matters requiring judgment are escalated to people.
The platform addresses work that extends beyond legal departments, with sales, procurement and HR teams also relying on contracts to move business forward.
“It starts reviewing contracts in your inbox before you’ve sat down with your coffee,” CEO Scott Stevenson wrote in a LinkedIn post announcing general availability.
Stevenson said Spellbook had initially put ACM in the hands of a small group of legal teams. Their favourite feature was email synchronization, which automatically builds a timeline and version history for each negotiation.
That capability gives teams a way to follow negotiations without manually piecing together email threads and document revisions. Spellbook says ACM continues managing agreements through renewal, extending its role beyond the initial review.
The company says its existing AI contract review tool now serves more than 5,000 customers. With ACM, Spellbook is broadening its focus from helping lawyers review individual documents to coordinating the work surrounding those agreements across the business.
“ACM is our next chapter,” Stevenson wrote.
