Harvey has launched a global brand campaign that puts the handshake at the centre of its message about lawyers, agreements and the role of legal AI.
Unveiled today, “Agreements Make History” includes outdoor advertising in Toronto alongside placements in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, London, Copenhagen and Sydney. The campaign will also appear in The New York Times and Financial Times, supported by digital video, social, audio, streaming television and events for lawyers.
The campaign’s centrepiece is a film created with New York agency Better Half and directed by Rubberband through Smuggler. Its premise connects the simple act of shaking hands with the legal work that turns shared intentions into enforceable agreements.
In a LinkedIn post, Rachel Hepworth described the film as Harvey’s first commercial.
“We wanted our message to be grounded in the broader impact the law has on society,” she wrote, crediting Mali Robertson with leading the effort.
Toronto’s inclusion comes as Harvey expands its Canadian presence. As LegalTech.ca reported last week, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan’s Teachers’ Venture Growth invested US$50 million in the company, bringing its latest financing to US$600 million at a US$15.5 billion valuation.
Harvey now serves more than 100 Canadian law firms and legal teams and employs more than 30 people in Canada. Its Toronto office opened in 2025, and the company is recruiting across engineering, sales and customer support.
Globally, Harvey says its platform is used by more than 3,000 customers and 200,000 lawyers across 70 countries. The campaign positions its technology as a way to help those lawyers reach agreements faster and extend the reach of their expertise.
