Clio is expanding its reach into government legal departments through a new partnership with Carahsoft, a major public sector technology distributor.
The Vancouver-founded legaltech company announced today that Carahsoft will help make Clio’s Intelligent Legal Work Platform and legal AI capabilities available to government legal teams through its established procurement channels. The partnership is aimed at public counsel offices, regulatory agencies, justice-sector organizations and government legal departments looking to modernize legal operations while meeting public-sector expectations around security, accountability and transparency.
Clio’s platform centralizes core legal workflows, including matter intake, case management, document review, court scheduling, secure communications and reporting. The company says its AI-powered tools are designed to help legal teams streamline routine analysis and decision-making while maintaining oversight and accuracy in highly regulated environments.
“The future of legal work will be defined by connected systems, verifiable legal sources and the ability to move with greater precision,” said Ronnie Gurion, COO at Clio. “Through our partnership with Carahsoft, we’re helping Government legal teams adopt technology built for the scale, complexity and standards their work demands.”
Carahsoft will work with its reseller partners to support public sector adoption of Clio’s platform, giving agencies a clearer path to evaluate and procure AI-driven legal technology.
Michael Shrader, Vice President of Intelligence and Innovative Solutions at Carahsoft, said Clio’s platform can help teams streamline case management, document automation and billing while improving efficiency and caseload management.
The partnership comes as legal AI adoption continues to move beyond law firms and corporate legal departments into government and public-sector environments, where legal teams face growing pressure to do more with limited resources while maintaining public trust.
