Dye & Durham has launched Unity®, its flagship cloud-based conveyancing platform, in British Columbia, bringing its most widely used real estate transaction solution to the province with workflows customized for B.C. legal professionals.
Unity processes more than 350,000 real estate transactions annually across Canada and delivers platform uptime above 99%. In B.C., the cloud-based platform provides lawyers and notaries with an all-in-one solution that integrates matter management and document workflows with key third-party systems involved in property conveyancing.
“Behind every real estate transaction is a person, family or business navigating a major life moment or venture,” said Pablo Rodriguez, President of Dye & Durham Canada. “Software is meant to reduce manual labour, save time and allow legal professionals to do what they do best—offer advice, manage relationships and safeguard their clients during major transactions. Unity helps deliver a smoother, more confident closing experience when it matters most.”
The launch follows new industry data pointing to persistent inefficiencies in the B.C. conveyancing process. A recent survey of B.C. legal professionals and notaries, conducted by Dye & Durham in partnership with the BC Notary Association, found that more than 80% of respondents cited a lack of platform integration as a major operational challenge. Firms reporting higher efficiency were significantly more likely to be satisfied with integrated tools, while those facing lower efficiency pointed to fragmented systems and manual workflows.
Unity is designed to address this fragmentation through integrations with core conveyancing systems, including Lender Centre for mortgage instructions, Tax Certificates Online (TCOL), and the Land Title and Survey Authority (LTSA), alongside identity verification and accounting software. The company says these integrations help reduce duplicate data entry, improve accuracy, and support continuity from file opening through closing.
“Our focus with Unity is addressing fragmentation in the conveyancing workflow,” said Nikesh Patel, Chief Product Officer at Dye & Durham. “By connecting critical systems inside a secure platform, we’re giving firms a more unified operational environment that supports speed, accuracy, and scale.”
Unity now joins Dye & Durham’s existing B.C. product lineup, including ProSuite, eConveyance, and Brief Convey, which the company will continue to support. Rodriguez said the launch reflects Dye & Durham’s long-standing commitment to the province, where the company was founded.
