Who will be Canada’s next Alexi, Clio, or Spellbook?
In the new year, LegalTech.ca will publish the inaugural edition of our 10 Canadian Legaltech Startups to Watch list — and we’d love your help.
Whether you’re an angel investor, venture capitalist, founder, or just someone emotionally invested in the Canadian legaltech ecosystem, you’ve probably spotted promising startups that haven’t hit the mainstream yet. This is your chance to become a LegalTech.ca scout.
LegalTech.ca is the sister property of sites like Techcouver.com and Calgary.tech, which have been publishing “startups to watch” lists for years. For example, legaltech startup Walter was included on Techcouver’s 10 Homegrown B.C. Startups to Watch in 2025 list, while fractional legal talent platform Goodlawyer appeared on Calgary.tech’s 10 Homegrown Calgary Startups to Watch in 2023 list.
We’re looking for early-stage, privately held, Canadian legaltech startups—not public companies or big incumbents. The goal is to shine a spotlight on teams building the next wave of practice-changing tools for lawyers, legal departments, and justice systems.
